Look at the contract (better yet, download the Contract Legality Guide off the ALPA website.
So far you will have 1 hour ADD PAY. If they don't use you tonight, you'll have two.

While on the subject, I don't know why, but I was under the impression that any unused short call after five, you got two hours add pay for those.

Haven't flown since 1st week in September.... :D

Your flows are gunna suck when you get a trip - lol :)

Bad info being given out or incomplete.

You get nothing for SC #1 and #2. Short calls 3-5, you get one hour each, and it doesn't matter if you aggressively picked up or was assigned. Those all must be 'UNUSED'.

To get more add pay of 1 hour for each short call going above #5, you had to have 5 ASSIGNED unused short calls prior and each SC above #5 has to be assigned as well. So let's say you were given 5 SC's and all went unused and you aggressively picked up 2 and were assigned 3, then SC's 3-5 get one hour each of add pay. For #6 and #7, absolutely nothing. #8, you would get one hour of add pay, if #6 and #7 were both assigned (not aggressively picked up), to give you a total of 6 assigned and unused SC's. So that's why you get Paid on #8, because that is your 6th ASSIGNED SC.
If you were ASSIGNED SCs on 1-5, then your 6th SC, if assigned, would be add pay of 1 hour. Kapiche?

Hopefully that makes sense. And no, it's only one hour per, not two.

It is an increase in MPG, not Add Pay. There is a difference, and it could be a player when you audit your pay during "over guarantee" months.

To put it in Baseball terms, its sounds like you may have a "perfect game" in both September and maybe again here in October.

I consider a month when you never had to leave the house for mother UA a "perfect game." A "no hitter" on the other hand is when all you ever did for UA (besides a SC) was get called out for a FSB, but never actually turned a wheel.

This month, I have 2 unused short calls and 1 unused FSB. Where do I see the 1 hour to MPG? I'm still seeing 73 in crew pay.

That's because it doesn't get added until payroll does post processing on around the 6th of the next month.

Check on your Pay Register on the 7th of Nov. that your MPG has increased over 73 for all the unused SC/FSB and contact payroll if wrong.

Is this in the contract? That's the problem....We're making decisions for the current month on what to fly, what to pick up, what to drop, what to VJM for, etc, but the dollars and cents application and ramifications of our actions and schedulings actions can't be realized or understood in the current bid month. I disagree with how our pay is handled and processed. We need real time pay data. why is that so hard?

Could it perhaps be by design? I wonder.
