Fed Ex
More chewable grist for those of you with years remaining...
FedEx Pilots Approve 6-Year Contract With Bonuses, Raises - Bloomberg Business |
They ratified it with only 57%.
|
Pay? Benefits? QOL +/-? These easily accessible for what was voted in?
|
This part that I read I liked:
"Regardless, this contract "raised the bar" for the airline industry! Second year First Officers making $133 NB and $163 WB an hour. By end of contract a 15 year WB FO making $237 an hour and WB captain making $335 an hour! Wow and congratulations" Pay raises are 10,3,3,3,4,3 $134million in signing bonuses Total increased cost for 6 years is 1.67 billion Intl override increase to $10/hr for captains, $8 for FOs And I believe it said $100/CH for first year new hires. Small per diem increases |
If and when our contract extension ta comes across the table, you need to ask yourself one question. How is this contract being funded? If you can honestly answer that question you are on your way to an educated contract vote of gains vs losses without first turning to section 3.
Those Fed Ex pay rates aren't free. |

where is it coming out of? Diluted retirement benefits?
As stated in the article, "FedEx is banking on lower costs from new airplanes and increased productivity to help offset the expense of the new contract." |
[QUOTE=iahflyr;1997543] There was no raise. FedEx pilots realized they have hit the top of the scales and aren't asking for crazy raises like Delta is.
Crazy raises? And yes u are entitled to your opinion. But I would say 65% of the pilots voted no for a variety of reasons to include cuts in profit sharing to pay for raises which are still BELOW 2000 levels. Crazy raises, I think not. |
