Pay Advice

If you select to pick up aggressively on reserve and due to mx/wx etc part of the trip is reassigned to a different crew to keep the next flight(s) on time, will you be credited the trip for full pay/credit?

Does anyone know if there a difference between being 'protected' for pay purposes of you are assigned a trip on reserve compared to if you aggressively pick up a trip on reserve?

I don't know for sure, but I wouldn't think HOW you picked up the trip would make any difference. You should be pay protected the same either way. Take screen shots of original trip, new trip, and check pay before and after (screenshots ALWAYS every time your payrec changes by picking up a trip etc so you have a record to compare before and after). I would file a PDR with ALPA to ask this question if you've lost pay

Pay protection does not exist for reserves. You get paid for what you fly and any rigs associated with the number of days worked.

So if you APU a 4 day that puts you over guarantee and then something happens on day 2 and they send you home. You won't get the credit for what you were scheduled to do on days 3 and 4.
