ST, I was merely answering a question Dave posted. He asked what Express Carriers get paid to fly RJ's. So I looked and found the top rate is around $125/hr.

Not to cloud the issue but this TA is being sold hard by a greedy segment of the pilots and the Age 65 thing was an all government affair. Nobody had the horsepower to stop age 65 once Bush said - do it.
I'm breaking my rule of completely ignoring you for this post. This is just another example of how blind you are.

To name a few;

John Prater and the "Blue Ribbon Panel" of ALPA National.

The Senior Pilot's Coalition (SPC)

Kit Darby

APAAD

And most tragically, Mark Zenner, who killed himself because the age rule didn't change before he had to retire

And now back to my regularly scheduled program of giving less than 2 turds about anything you say or do

You had to search hard to find information to support your claim. It's more of an editorial than fact based. The simple fact is that ALPA and/or other organization did not having the horsepower to sway the administration actions and got involved in the process only to limit the scope.

Without their involvement, the FAA would and could have created stricter medical requirements and Performance(check rides) requirements that would have filtered down to the under 60 guys causing some to be put in harms way, who would otherwise not been under that gun.(we saw some of this in additional line checks for over 60)

Instead of bashing ALPA and other for getting involved once the issue was clearly decided, you should be thanking them for controlling the lose.

You try to demonize those that elect to go past 60 and I say more power to them. If the FAA changes it to 70 even more power to them. They don't owe me, you or anybody else an explanation or excuse. It's their right -

I was listening, I must have missed that. Is it being reported anywhere yet? I thought they were just saying, if....not actually ordered. That would be pretty big news.

Nothing I can find is being reported yet.

I believe they said 2019 based on publicly available information concerning cs100 orders on the books.

That's what they "have" to say. The UAL ALPA MC has on the BOD of UAL and is extremely limited by SEC regulations.

Thinking out loud and connecting some dots....what if a potential C-Series order was the result of available production slots as a result of a cancellation?

Surely they are easily replaceable but Republic's orders are for the CS300

^^^This.

Did a quick look online; between Republic and big orders by leasing companies, there could be 77 airframes or so out there as "placed orders."
