I had to call out sick 3 times during my probationary year (2014-2015). Never heard a word about it. If you are sick, you are sick. Pretty simple.

I had to call in sick when a major catastrophe struck my house the day before a 4 day. Use it. You can't sell it back at the end.

Does anyone know how the heck we can see our sick leave days for the past year? I can't find it anymore

Haven't looked in a while but thought I heard they took that ability away from us. Knowledge is power.

Make a note in your phone, I have always kept one on my iPhone about sick calls used and hours used from each call as well as if you ever have to use the commuter policy. Then you can track your hour deduction correctly and keep track of any potential usage issues if you are concerned about it.

I called in sick last Thanksgiving. I never got a call. I caught a cold while on a layover on an international trip several days before and finished the trip so I could get home. Then I had my next trip (I was 5 days into the cold) so I put in for sick list over Thanksgiving. I think I didn't get a call from the CPO because I usually use sick list 1 or 2 times a year. My philosophy is simple, sick list is like an insurance policy and when I'm sick I use it, if I'm not, I don't use it. Some pilots with small kids will get sick a lot because they bring every germ known to man home from school. If your sick, use it, if you are trying to improve your schedule, don't use it.

That's my contractually agreed to earned time and I'll use it for whatever I need it for, sick or not! :)

CCS - Trading - Crew Companion

You can scroll back and look at each months schedule. Any SL will show there.

That's exactly why there is/has been a crackdown on Sick leave use.
