Thanks for all the info.
After a fair amount of reflection I think I'll stay put. I'm pretty successful at 756 reserve.
The way things are moving I'll probably be at 30% on the A320 in EWR by next year when my training freeze is up. If I choose to move at all.
Thanks Again.. let the thread drift continue.

I've been on and off reserve in EWR for about five years now (more on than off actually).
Living local rsv on the 777 is easy. You will get SCs, but will rarely actually get used on them. In fact, most people who don't want to fly use SCs to keep themselves lower in the silos during their reserve stint.
APU has worked pretty well to break guarantee and/or control my schedule.
The one thing that does suck, and it's been mentioned already, is the rolling of days off. If you need your schedule for the month to be set, then RSV isn't going to work out. I don't get rolled all that often, but it's just often enough to be annoying.
I'd write more later but have to depart here... PM me or ask here if you have any questions.

The easiest way to know what it's like is to go to staffing in ccs or cat award in PBS to see who's on reserve. Write their employee #'s down.
Go to My Calender under scheduling. You can then enter their employee # there and you see exactly what junior 777 reserve schedules look like.
I've already done and it doesn't look good enough for me to bid it.

Select Scheduling to drop down menu.
Select My Calender.
Top left hand corner there is a box that says View other Employee.
Enter other employee number there and push enter.

I am pretty sure that once your schedule comes out, you can put mil days on all of your RDO's. Nothing the company can do about it. Just make sure that you can document your mil work once they throw a fit about not being able to roll you.
