My question kind've still stands though; why such a long lag? Everyone's bid is input into a computer. Hit the enter button and see the results. Just trying to understand the why.

Well, headed back to reading my contract. Just trying to balance my time, between learning the jet, CBTs, reserve rules, what not to trust the company with, all my ALPA emails, company emails, etc... I hope the firehose lessens up a bit after year one is over.

No one should have to wait until 1 &1/2 weeks prior to know what they are doing the next month. The company has already sold tickets, and the schedule should be just as firm at that point as it would be 2 weeks later. That's always ****ed me off. I've brought it up before but I seem to be the only crazy guy who thinks I should be able to commit to things for next month before the 18th.
