We pay our dues money to ALPA. Consider the petitions signed every time ALPA gets my check. ALPA needs to put some automated do-hickey in place to allow for automatically signing petitions like this.

ALPA already speaks on my behalf when supporting both political initiatives/legislation, and political candidates.

ALPA gets paid to drive results. If it wanted a petition there should have been sign up sheets in the weather rooms and crew lounges along with reps manning tables putting on a full court press. Relying on the interweb and spam is a poor strategy if you really and truly are wanting this to happen. When ALPA really wants something to happen, they man the crew rooms and crew lounges.

NAI will happen because of Open/Fair skies. Anytime you need to put "open and fair" in the title grab your wallet. It's the 20 year later version of Bill Clinton's famous NAFTA. This should have never been signed, now we have buyers remorse then, and we will have it again nearly 20 years later, just on the aviation side.

The cruise lines and cargo ship companies been doing this for years. Panamanian ship, Yemeni crew, UK Captain, and an international mix of ships compliment. Talk about flags of convenience.

Simple explanation...they are pilots. Perhaps you've noticed the litany of *****ing on the flight deck and no action afterwards?

They do have an automated dohickey .. ALPA national sent out an email with a "call to action". It automatically fills in the email addresses and the message to your congressman, two senators, the Whitehouse, and the Secretary of Transportation.

If you can't find that email, just go to the ALPA website homepage, and click on the BRIGHT RED BANNER
