Late last night. Hope it is great for them and we can move closer to a merged airline.

That's great news! The sooner we can move on from this merger the better.

Good News!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let's hope it becomes a TA. Right now it's an AIP until final language is agreed upon and the respective MECs approve it for MR.

I have no doubt it will become a TA - I have serious reservations that it becomes a JCBA.

The FA's I fly with tell me that they will vote no because nothing is good enough to make them merge with the LUA FAs and take a massive seniority hit. We have 2 year FA's that are lineholders that will go to permanent reserve since they merge DOH.

And therein lies the rub with the system. It would be so much easier if the SLI was done first. AFA policy is straight Date of Training. If they could just do the SLI first I'm sure they'd have a contact soon. We've seen this game played out before. The junior ones threatening to stall integration are just delaying the inevitable while screwing everyone in the process. So much for being "unionists".

Well, it's only fair that that junior FAs hired post-merger have better schedules than ones with 20+ years. [/sarcasm]

I believe with ALPA, that was done before, and it didn't work. So now ALPA decided to do the JCBA first. But now the JCBA just becomes another tool to try to alter the SLI.

Neither works as it should. Another solution needs to be found.

I don't see the lCAL FA's voting yes for anything, period, EVER.

So just to make sure I got this right that, they are all miserable now and with a new JCBA and SLI they will still be miserable? Is that what I'm gathering?
