Default Quick contract question

Reserve Captain assigned 3 day NRT trip. Mechanical, aircraft swap, cabin crew swap. Push back, starts engines and runs out of COO time. Jet turns around on taxi out and returns to gate.
What are the pay consequences for the reserve captain? Other crew were line holders

Zero consequence for the reserve captain. He goes back on long call and gets credited with whatever block time he logged toward guarantee.

What's the catch? Did they keep you on the trip or send you home? Did you leave some info out?

It's only credit towards guarantee. It may or may not help him.

Default Quick contract question

Actually the 2 hours should go on LPV, so it will only help the Captain if he breaks guarantee.

Correct... I did not mean it would be Add Pay... he/she would get 2 hours toward LPV.

Because he actually operated the aircraft, I am not sure if he gets to 2 hours of SNG (Show No Go) pay. Maybe he does. I do know if you get called out, and don't fly, you get 2 hours, and it is ADD PAY. I got it twice last year. On reserve.

Any reason why said Captain wouldn't get 5 hours of pay towards LPV? I could understand the 2 hours if the flight never pushed back. But once you're out of the gate I would fight for the min 5hr/day.

The next day assigned on Phone avail from 8am to 1200pm. At 1 pm CD called and assigned a 3 day ICN - they moved my rdo to do this.

Phone available is a line holder thing. I've never heard that used on a reserve. You are either long or short call. Did they keep you on the same ID and modify the trip?
