I dropped $3k (suit, interview prep, sim prep, UAL tickets to CP M&G) in pursuing a job at UAL. I got the job. I'm happy with my decision making.

Yes, it goes both ways. Maybe one thing that slowed down the invites is the juggling of the fleet plan and lower hiring numbers projected from last week. My guess is it'll happen, just takes a little more time after the new reality.

Refresh my memory, but didn't UA stop doing sim eval on interviews?

That is correct.

So that's $1200 in sim prep a candidate doesn't have to worry about spending anymore.

Big picture for the soon to be veterans out there, don't be cheap while pursing a job at your target company.

I attended the Friday event and it was a very positive experience that being said, I have not received an invite for the Hogan and I'm wondering if I should invest in a professional service to QC my airlineapp? What are your thoughts, will that help at this point since they already looked at it to select the attendees for the veteran event?

Nothing you do to further your chances will hurt you. That being said I'm still waiting on a hogan as well.

I agree with Jetlife it won't hurt you. Another set of eyes wouldn't hurt and can give you some pointers on how to reword and structure different parts to stand out. The perspective and insight was very helpful to me. I don't know if they put it out in day two, but in day one they said they only send out 30 Hogan invites every Friday. There's only been 4 Friday's since the Nov 11 event, one being Thanksgiving week. 200-250 seems to be the word for day two attendees and somewhere between 700-750 for the entire event. Assuming they sent them out the week of Thanksgiving that's only 120, IF they got right on it. You still have another month to wait if you're in the bottom of day two guys and 6 months or 24 weeks if at the bottom of day one guys. This of course doesn't take into consideration new or updated competitive veterans applications or straight civilian competition. I've been told even prior to the event it could be 3 months or 24 months, before your number pops at any airline. I personally am not going be discouraged until I reach the 1 year anniversary of the event.
