Not sure where you get your info from but CAL training, check airmen, recurrent classes and pubs all stressed ABOVE ALL, SAFETY THEN CUSTOMER SATISFACTION! And have clearly told pilots to run the APU for cooling whenever needed. Pilots who don't do this are operating in a manner contradictory to what the company wants. Not sure why they don't understand this, some of these guys prob drive to work, never non rev and are just clueless, I've seen it before too and unfortunately by the time you get off the plane, the guy is gone. If I'm at a hub or a station with mx I leave the APU on and call Ops to have them shut it down via MX. Ive seen many FOS wired to cut off the APU as soon as poss too, spread the word.

Back to the original topic. Some carriers strap the noise gear.

Question: I always see the external air conditioning on the 737/320s, but they do not seem to put cold enough air into the aircraft. Why not? Big units should either be able to do it, or get upgraded.
Plus, I'm told UAL spent a great deal on upgrading ground equipment. Did the A/C not get addressed?

It was supposed to be.

When you see 2 90 deg bends and kinks in the air hose on it's way to the plane, it's amazing the plane gets any air.

This really can't be that hard. If you get on the plane and it's warm/hot then start the apu. If the plane is comfortable then tell the fa's in the back if/when they start to notice the temp increasing call up front.
