Great Interview but what a joke. The MEC supported Hillary and now that Trump wins ALPA wants to grovel to president Trump. This Norwegian deal was approved "under the most Labor-Friendly Democratic President", who our MEC backed. I certainly hope that Labor FINALLY see's what political party has their best interest in mind

Make America Great Again, America First, American Workers First. that's the rhetoric from his campaign, but have we actually seen any action that directly benefits the American worker (not corporations, actual workers). Here's an excellent chance for him to walk the walk.

The Open Skies Agreement that Norwegian applied under was NOT approved under Obama. That would be Bush II. The Obama administration did delay NAI for over 3 years though. ;)

Trump doesn't care really if it's union, or non-union. What he cares about, I think is that US workers and their famalies stay afloat, and benefit financially. Moreover, he wants the tax revenues and he wants healthy US companies.

The right to work stuff really affects states. He doesn't care if a company is located in North Carolina, or South Carolina. He just doesn't want them to move to South America.

No, Trump did not.

Seems pretty silly for Obama to throw the aviation industry under the bus. If they bring in a bunch of foreigners, that's allot of tax revenues that won't stay here. Not only do US companies fail, but employees cease making money, and the money that foreigners are making won't be taxed here.

Unless it was an slam dunk opportunity for either campaign to take easy and immediate action. Setting the stage for either to pick the low hanging fruit so to speak and take credit for standing up for the American worker.

Trump has every impetus to reverse the application, I can hear the sound bites now "We reversed the action of a secret muslim who was a total disaster and today we continue to make America great again".

For Clinton, the rhetoric would be toned down, but still an easy win to appear pro-worker.

With respect to today's reality, it's going to be all-telling to see if he walks the walk or is just another windbag politician.
