Junior 777 Captain about 3,200.

Oh okay, and what is the DOH for a 8400 guy?

Pre 9/11 if a legacy UAL hire. Not sure about LCAL. The movement should be very different now then for those ahead of us with the lost decade and other road bumps. My paired CA when going through new hire training (summer 18) was a 99 LUAL and took the first CA upgrade he could (narrow body SFO) and was less than 3k numbers ahead of me. With our retirements I should be at his seniority in 4-5 years while it took him 19 years to get there so DOH is not always a great indicator of how long it will take you to get what you want.

If you choose the 737 route, roughly how long til you could try switch to the 787?

Depends which base but generally speaking at least 4 years. You will have plenty of time to figure it all out.

At the most, 4 years. I’m seeing 1,700 retirees over the next 4 years. I suspect there will be quicker movement and sooner opportunities for widebody FO if that’s what you want to do.

Its goofy because of the merger/sli but roughly 12 years of active time. So a CAL 2007 hire who wasn't furloughed.

From what I can tell, the yoke mounted hot mic switch needs to be held down to work. Does this mean the primary means of cockpit communication and coordination on the 756 fleet is just yelling at each other with one headset earcup off?

Yes, and have fun if you're flying with a soft talker!

Rubber bands work, you can still transmit on the radio using the glare shield PTT.

The 757 isn’t loud enough to go through all of that trouble. Just go on speaker out of 18k.
