278 newhires for 2018 (122 hired YTD) and 300 newhires for 2019 were the numbers evidently put out by the company at the FAPA job fair a couple weeks ago.

This means a new system wide bid soon? Wasn’t it something like 170 additional in the last bid?

Yes, 17-101 generated 170 vacancies, of which 122 have been filled, leaving 48 for additional hires.

I suspect we'll see another vacancy bid sometime in the next 6-8 weeks.

Hey detective how about you contribute some original thought to the discussion, guess I should just get used to the labeling by the B & G crew which I am sure your one of. Question the EB and got a hidden agenda, original. Its ok for them to sub contract cause business is up, another original thought. 3....

How about you ask your beloved EB to compare the amount of reserve lines from 18-04 to 17-04, or how about ask them to share the total amount of block the average crew member including reserves is flying in 18-03 vs 17-03. It's, ok that the schedules are killing us, cause business is up, let alone all the efficiencies we gave back. A concessionary contract at best and cost neutral to the company, we got duped! Great work as long as I got a 15K a year raise given your philosophy right? No hidden agenda, just think the EB has their own agenda and it doesn't include me. Time for them to go and new blood brought in.

And please tell us detective.....What is it, you think the EB’s secret agenda is? And how are they conspiring against you?

Does anyone know when the remaining announced classes are? It seems to me like they'd announced on in June, July and August.

We all got duped by our on EB to vote yes on this sub par contract, in an environment that we will never see again. We all are working harder due to the concessions we gave back, scope under attack ..... like to see how many more block hours each of us is working now, oh wait did I ask a question that might the EB look bad? 3, 2, 1 Cue J.B., Sideshow, and our resident B & G experts. Wish they would take Z.M.'s advice and shut the hell up.

But...but...the man at the NMB said we got enough! Isn't that the way it works? We're done when the NMB says so, right? Votes are just for showing the company how tough we are...

Glad I won't be here for the next one. I think you guys are in for a very rude awakening.

Does anyone know the current length of time between initial phone review, Hogan invite, and the Interview Invite after the Hogan?
I was initially contacted in mid-April, phone review a few days later, Hogan invite 3 days after that, and completed the Hogan a week later. It’s been 3 weeks since I completed the Assessment and haven’t heard anything back yet. I’m just curious if hiring has ceased or slowed for the Summer and I’m in limbo.

Precisely why you never base a contract on numbers generated by a bean counter on the tit. Could have gotten substantial meaningful changes in the contract. Same 24 hour flip flops, baseline trips (that are worse if its possible), packing the jumpseats full of piorty 3's, horrible catering, crappy hotel's, etc..... but we got new committees set up to work with the company on these issues. Really? The average guy still doesn't get the fact or cares that the company played us again and whatever you do don't question the EB because they walk on water. Next time should be real fun, gut the A plan, work more hours, etc.... NMB: thats the best your going to do... IPA: our bean counter says your right, we will take it

I have heard that they’re done interviewing for awhile, but i don’t know that for a fact. I know that’s not what you want to hear... hope you get a call for the interview.
