Are the 747 lines like they are at ACMI carriers? Are they big blocks of days on/off? I know PANC is junior, and it would be a tough commute, but if you only do it once a month, it can’t be terrible.
Thanks in advance.

For a junior guy, reasonable at present staffing to expect 3 commutes per bid period, or in other words, 3 commutes per 2 months. Fairly good chance of a 14 day reserve block per month if you’d prefer that, but no guarantees if you’re junior, especially during the summer. Lots of opportunities to trade with all the open time as well to clean up a VTO/VTOR line. Doesn’t always work and you could get stuck with a short trip. Definitely much more difficult if the open time ever dries up.

As a new guy could you hold a line or will you be on reserve? I have heard reserve goes senior. Thanks in advance

when the senior guys want to fish or hunt you won’t be able to hold reserve. When the weather sucks and the sun only shines for a few minutes each day, reserve trends a little more junior.
