Unfortunately, it means that your application has been completed, but the computer scored your application as being uncompetitive. You won’t be able to update it this year, but should reapply January 1, 2021. In the mean time if you are close to any potential cutoffs (2,000PIC, Masters degree, or whatever) try to hit them before your next application is filled out. There are no updates possible once it is completed for the calendar year. Good luck.

I had heard it is possible to have your rec call or email HR and have them re-evaluate but that may be long old info at this point.

My app says complete/active, but I can’t find a way to submit Rec letters, how can I add those is there a way to do it on the app? I did not find it... thanks in advance.

Once your app is complete you can no longer update it. However, that has nothing to do with your internal recs which process on a separate website. External recs don’t really factor into the process as best I can tell. That said, HR doesn’t really communicate about the process to the pilot group.

Edpilt23,

Any UPS Pilot can access a rec form on our internal website. If you can get a rec from a UPS Pilot, they can upload it to HR and attach it to your app. Unfortunately I have no idea how an “outside” can be sent outside of old fashioned “snail Mail” addressed to UPS HR.

Thanks Vito, unfortunately no internal recs. Thanks for answering.

You can update your app, can’t you?? Is it pointless to do so every month if they only look at it once a year?? Or do they want to see you actively updating and pursuing them?

You can only update your UPS application if your app is Active, but not locked.

If you're On File or Inactive...you have to wait until the following year's job requisition to reapply.

Does anyone know what the needed PIC hours (military hours, since I was told they are evacuated differently) are to trip the automated screening system? Just trying not to get an inactive application for 2021, especially if I can hold off like tnkrdrvr suggested and accomplish something that gets my app past the screening system. Any insight is appreciated.
