Another year they won’t get near 300, looks like 240-250 at best.

A long term consequence of seeing a robust training center as only a cost instead of an investment. We’ve spent billions on jets that we can’t fly due to a shortage of trained bodies. If only we’d spent a relatively few millions more on sim capacity the company could be racking up more contracts in Asia right now. Instead they have to beg for scope relief and hire outside contractors at exorbitant prices to haul our cargo.

Get used to it. First time I walked into the double wide I was like, “this is it?”

I was used to AA flight academy in DFW. A FQS said he took an ATL manager to look at another companies training facility and was told we would never have anything like it.

Might as well embrace it, it isn’t going to change.

Oh, I was well aware before I came here what UPS is. However, if the new CEO is serious about “sweating “ the system she will need to eliminate inefficiencies that inhibit making money off the system. A big one with the airline division is the inability to make full use of the very expensive aircraft we have purchased. No idea if she has any visibility on the institutional inertia in the airline or sees it as a negative. My assumption remains that we will continue to step over dollars to pick up nickels.

Just an outside observer but new CEO appears to be cutting costs. Not necessarily a bad thing, RE: AA's new opulent corporate HQ just before COVID hit.

Just hope cost cutting does not = negative hits to UPS Airlines

I did as well, I did not know it was this bad though. Good thing I don’t have a 30 year career ahead, I probably would not of chosen Brown. EVERYDAY is a constant battle with this company.
