A long term consequence of seeing a robust training center as only a cost instead of an investment. We’ve spent billions on jets that we can’t fly due to a shortage of trained bodies. If only we’d spent a relatively few millions more on sim capacity the company could be racking up more contracts in Asia right now. Instead they have to beg for scope relief and hire outside contractors at exorbitant prices to haul our cargo.

I was used to AA flight academy in DFW. A FQS said he took an ATL manager to look at another companies training facility and was told we would never have anything like it.
Might as well embrace it, it isn’t going to change.

Get used to it. First time I walked into the double wide I was like, “this is it?”

Just an outside observer but new CEO appears to be cutting costs. Not necessarily a bad thing, RE: AA's new opulent corporate HQ just before COVID hit.
Just hope cost cutting does not = negative hits to UPS Airlines
