Application is locked
 

Hi there sorry if this has been asked before but my application is locked and the only two sections I can edit is employment and contact info . Has this happened to anyone and anyone knows why it has been locked .

second question I am flying overseas and I can’t put my contact information because the contact section doesn’t let me put my number since it’s a foreign number . My email address is correct though . Would the recruitment dept contact by email
if they can’t get a hold of me ??

I think locked = good sign.

Get a US based Google voice number or the equivalent.

Just relax, all is good. Application locked means that the computer system has selected you to begin the interview process. The next step is you will get an email from someone that will want to schedule a resume review with you via zoom. If that goes well, you will be sent the Hogan assessment. After passing that, you will then be contacted by HR via telephone to schedule the official zoom interview. During your resume review, I would definitely discuss contact info dilemma at that time. In the meantime start prepping and keep an eye on your email and junk box.

Mine has been locked over 30 days now….. have been told it’s a good sign. Checking email and junk daily……

It can take a while but in the past locked meant you were in line for a call.

Follow up question to this. If the overall status of your application is "active" but the rest is as you described (all sub-sections are locked except "Contact Info" and "Employment History")....is this normal or is it a good sign? I seem to remember being able to update those at will.

That's normal. Means someone is looking at it.

I did the zoom interview but haven’t received any further news

Unfortunately there is no time line. if you don't hear anything by December, you'll get an email to reapply again.

Hang in there yall. I waited almost a year. Just finished OE. It's worth the wait. Many of the recent new hires know exactly how you feel.

Waited a year to start the interview process after applying? Or waiting in the pool for almost a year for class?

not uncommon for both.

Applied for about 20 years. Got the call after a job fair. Total process from locked to class date was 16 months.

Hi is there a sim eval during the interview process or is it al zoom ?

I received an email from a UPS captain asking me to call him back for a resume review a few days ago . However I’ve tried calling the 502 number and it ringing but then goes to someone else voicemail . I’ve left 2 message and drop the captain an email . Not sure what I can do and suggestions I am currently working overseas .

Unfortunately, you will have to be patient and wait for him to reply. I’m operating on the assumption you called during the normal business week and hours (EDT). He may be on leave, had to fly the line for a few days, etc. Leaving two voicemails and shooting him an email shows you are interested.

How long from resume review to hogan invite was it? I’m doubting whether I was successful now.

If you search old posts here you’ll see recent interviewees were encouraging others to film their Hogan test. At the very end there’s a very brief (few seconds) message on the screen which lets you know if you passed.

Numerous pilots from overseas airlines (Emirates, Qatar, Cathay, Korean, etc) have joined our ranks. Hopefully you know one of them and if so I’d reach out to him or her and ask them to get ahold of the HR on your behalf and explain the situation.

That’s what your friend and/or sponsor could explain to the HR person who called you.
I.e. “…my friend missed a call from you, he/she works overseas and because of the time difference worries about not being able to respond to your inquiry…”
..or something similar.

I got my hogan link the day after my resume review. Just completed the Hogan and as many said, the screen flashed very quickly, but I did see PASS on there, so looks like it worked. I first noticed my application locked at the beginning of September, so looks like about a month from that point until I got the resume review zoom deal.

Hi is there any timeline on when you receive a hogan test after the resume review. I have seen that some people get it right after the resume review is that the norm ? Thanks

I received mine right after the review was done. I think you’ll get it within 24 hours after completion. Hope long has it been since the review?

Regarding getting the Hogan invite: You must remember that the archaic processes that are used by the pilot HR group lead to wide swings in almost all areas of measurement when it comes to applicants. While some of the differences may be due to merit, I would say that you are at the mercy of our broken HR system.
Wish you nothing but luck keeping your sanity while pledging Big Brown. Once you are here, on the list, it gets better: I promise.

I keep hearing application locked means I'll be getting a call/email...and that the locked to contact time varies widely, but does anyone have any recent data on how long it was from their app getting locked to getting in first contact with UPS? I'm stoked my app even locked!

Been locked since late August.... Not a word.

(I am, however, North of 50 yo)

Lots of folks getting hired here that are north of 50 years old, that’s not a bad thing for you. Hopefully you hear something soon.

Well I just got the call today, roughly a week after my application locked! Now to not mess up the hogan…
