Default FF miles

Its being reported that FedEx pilots no longer receive FF miles when flying on UAL due to discounted company tickets. Is this happening at UPS also?

Actually it will benefit the company when a crewmember carry some sort of status. It saves them 25 to 50$ baggage fee everytime crewmember commercials and it will add up real quick.

UPS buys tickets that don't already include baggage?

Pretty sure when you buy a ticket, it doesn't include baggage.

You mean buy a personal ticket or thru ALTOUR? Never had ALTOUR buy a ticket that didn't include luggage. Didn’t know that was possible. Will be on the lookout.

I think they are talking about some of the LCC’s in which case you have to use your AMEX to check your bag at checkin in.
