Anyone have the ability to start a thread for the Oct class? My newb-ness won’t allow me to create it myself. TIA!

Onboarding
Got a text message this morning directing me back to the ups jobs website. Finished all the onboarding paperwork...assuming a FJO letter is next?

Aircraft Preferences
Hoping folks could pass some knowledge to help me start building my list of aircraft preferences. I searched for this info but couldn't find anything posted recently..if I missed it just let me know.
Anyway, I'm scheduled for the light twin class and based on my age (38) I figure I'll be right in the middle (or slightly aft) of the pack when it comes to class seniority. I'm married, no kids and plan to commute from the Florida Panhandle (Destin/Pensacola) so instead of week on/week off I'd prefer a single long trip or perhaps 2 shorter trips spaced out a day apart so I could just stay in SDF on the off day. Overall I'm trying to minimize the time I spend commuting and maximize the total amount of consecutive days spent at home. International flying definitely interests but that would be a secondary priority to the schedule I just described. All that said, I know I'll be the new guy and understand I'll be a bottom feeder for awhile but which SDF based airframe would you recommend? TIA, I'm excited to meet a lot of you on the line! |

I don’t believe they are offering SDFZ to the light twin classes currently, so the only international available would be on the Bus to Mexico and Canada. That said, take SDF 75 and you could bid over to Z in December.

Is junior Z flying just domestic because the international goes senior?

Z is all international. 75/76 SDF is domestic. It is separated from 75/76 Z
757SDFZ is partially domestic and international. 757SDF is domestic. |

Any way to predict where the 74 training will be? I live in ANC so that outcome would be significantly better.
Regardless, very stoked to be in the 3 Oct class! |

We don’t train in Miami on the 757/767 anymore. Boeing didn’t want to upgrade to LDS.

Sounds like we have two separate chats, a GroupMe and WhatsApp. We have 6 folks in the GroupMe, how about the WhatsApp? We can move everyone to whichever chat has the most folks.
