Is 1st year captain pay really $53 or is it based on time with the company (i.e. upgrade to captain at 8 years and get 8 year captain pay)?

BoilerUP 08-11-2022 04:50 PM

The latter, not the former.

That's what I figured. Wasn't sure if there was a double secret probation at UPS. :D

And yet, people still show up to class here. Maybe it is the 2nd year pay? Or the pension? Or the 12 percent DC? While first year does suck, the long term stability and benefits is what people like about UPS.

DC? Is that short for direct contribution to a 401k?

Defined contribution plan.

401K is an separate, optional, non matched plan.
