If you are planning to be a commuter, it may be convenient to keep an airporter in Louisville. A rental car for all of your initial training would probably cost you more and still leave you looking for one after training. I drove all the way from SoCal and left my rather beat up old truck here for future use. There is no transportation between the hotel and the training center.

Depending on the partner you have for training sometimes you can luck out and they will have a car. You can usually figure that out by the end of indoc. To my best recollection, you didn't really need a car during indoc, everything was pretty much 1 stop shop..... now things could have changed but.....

For Indoc a car wasn’t needed for us a few years ago. We were also downtown so idk how they’re running things at the new hotel. IMO transportation is definitely needed at the new hotel they’re using. After Indoc you or your sim partner having wheels will make your life a lot easier. I rented from budget after Indoc but I got a pretty good rate from my past life so it was a minor expense.

Hopefully this is something that’s fixed in the future. New hire, or trainees period shouldn’t have to worry about transportation or where they’re going to stay during CQ, or upgrade if they’re training in their base (no you don’t get hotels during CQ if your training event is in your base). Coming from a regional if you lived outside of 50mi of your base you got a hotel and transportation to/from the training center. If you were inside this radius and had something going on at home that could possibly distract you from doing your best in training you were provided a hotel.

I say all this to say the only thing our trainees should have to worry about is studying and passing. We have a great group of instructors that will make training enjoyable.

I would presume they will have both.

Usually Monday is heavy and Tuesday is light

Good morning all,

I recieved an Oct 15 class date and was seeing if anyone else is in the same boat or has a group chat already started. Pumped to be apart of the team and looking forward to being on station! Ill be driving up to Lousville if anyone needs an extra set of wheels to get around.

Looks like classes running once a month now vs every 3 weeks? Anyone heard about the November class?

Haven't heard about a NOV class date, but i did hear they are running classes through Peak this year, so I would definitely expect one in Novemeber. They're still behind on pilot production.
