Default SloBus life going away

New system bid is out and it appears that the beatings for Bus FOs will only get worse.

-16 Bus FOs
-65 MD FOs
-87 MD Captains

A decent number of upgrade opportunities will exist, although I would describe it as very sluggish growth at best.

edit: grade school spelling error

No one should be involuntarily moved from a left seat to a right seat (except perhaps some of the most recent upgrades who took slots the company intended for MD captains, training is free though). However, some folks may be learning a new jet this year. In my case, if I were one of the very recent upgrades who had already completed training I would structure my system bid to maximize company pain for my displacement. After all, if I don’t like my new displaced to seat, there is no seat lock. I can bid for something else on the next bid.

I was referring to voluntary downbids…rules dont seem to be widely known

When you factor in the voluntary downgrades from the last bid that will certainly displace back to captain, I doubt there are many if any new captains at all.
