It is always irritating to me when people start with the grammar corrections. While improper grammar or spelling takes away from a post, critiquing it makes us look like a bunch of middle school kids.

Your absolute rite! Pointing out all them grammer and speller errors makes us look like a bunch of middle skool kids. If we pretend we ain't seen nothin' we look like collage kids! On the udder hand, if they ménage to fool us and noone notices there mistakes we become politicians!

Heck, just reading some of the write-ups in maintenance logbooks makes for a great laugh. Sometimes I wonder if pilots as a profession hold the record for the worst spellers out there? :)

Is it not simply possible that grammar goes to hell just like judgement does as fatigue takes hold? Could a FedEx or IPA pilot possibly be fatigued when posting? :rolleyes:

Hey now, we can't take credit for much of that! If you're reading the logbook entries that the mx folks put online, they take what we write and invent their own version of it. Perhaps they can't read our writing, but I've seen logbook entries that I wrote in large block letters, grossly misspelled, words run together, words left out. I used to think we were all crappy spellers, till I realized that we might not necessarily be the ones mangling the words!

Too easy to get a rise out of this group. For a bunch of self-proclaimed "elder statesmen" who are desperately attempting to spread your "wisdoms" to be taking every bait and run with it is comical to no end. Yah.
