Well, let's remember he's actually agreeing with us. Well, most of us. He's somewhat biased of course since he left brown for purple early on in his career BUT he's on our side.
It'd be awesome if IPA and FDX ALPA worked together.

Imagine an independent brown & purple aviators' association :-)

My apologies to Shaggy. This is the genius who complains about time off, the IPA, and everything else under the sun while choosing to commute.

Delta is hiring!! I'll even write a rec for ya!!

Jetjok has serious issues with UPS. Why else harbor suck resentment 25 years after spending a few months on payroll? Sorry, dude, but nearly all of us like our jobs. We may not like UPS, but we like our union, jobs and lives just fine--except for Frontseat, he hates everything.

I guess some of you guys are at a point where if something is said about your employer, you interpret it as a personal attack on you. That was not what I was saying in my post. What I was saying, is something you all already know, and that's your company SUCKS. Not you guys. Well except L'il, but again, everyone already knows that. And certainly not the IPA, which came to be during my time there.

Tell me something I don't know. The funny thing is that you don't feel the same way about your employer. Corporate America, specifically any public company, will do whatever is necessary to increase the bottom line. Profits and increasing shareholder value trump everything. UPS doesn't hate pilots anymore than a lion hates its prey.

Wait. If you know that you suck. Why don't you try not sucking, or at least, not sucking quite as much. As for FedEx in particular, and Corporate America in general, have you heard of a situation where a company built a facility for the employees, and then because it was built so badly, said employees had to spend their own money to improve the facility, only to have their improvements removed, shortly after they were installed? I haven't.

Really? Try working for any 135 outfit! Oh wait....they wouldn't even put up the building. Don't get me wrong, I love the fact that UPS pilots keep the top end of the pay scale the top end of the pay scale and have not succumbed to the temptations that the other legacy carriers have. But give it a rest sometimes. I sit at breakfast in the Panorama Hotel in Hong Kong and listen to the UPS table (yes there is actually a UPS table) ***** and moan about EVERYTHING. Not just their company, or their airplanes, or their routes, or other pilots, but EVERYTHING! I am sorry but when you are that unhappy while at work maybe it is time to find another type of work. I could never work with such a group of complainers. It seems to be a culture thing with these guys. Perhaps the domestic pilots are different. I don't know. If I worked with these guys I would end up in jail or dead cause I would have to take the Fed Ex hammer to them!

I just got an email forwarded from my father in law about that. There was a long list of recipients/forwarders who were in the Navy with the two pilots and called them a friend including my father in law.

You sir, are a douchebag!

Sleep rooms are what we negotiated. No more, no less. I don't want UPS spending another penny in them. I'd rather it go towards other items. I don't tie myself to UPS. It's a job. f them and
pay me seems to be the general consensus. There are so many urban legends around here but I think the sleep rooms are exactly what we expected them to be and have held up sufficiently since being built. Far better than the old sleep rooms with petry dish lazy boys.
