Couple of questions
1. How long after submitting drug test do they wait to confirm class dates? Ex Jan 30th?
2. Class schedule? 2 weeks ground, sims, etc..if anyone has advice
3. Whats accommodation like for class? Hotel, extended stay hotel, kitchens ??

8-10 weeks is accurate. International guys take a little longer. Domestic guys take a little over eight weeks. It's basically 5 days on, 2 days off (not necessarily weekends off) straight through to OE.

In '06 and '07 some people started training within 9-12 days of their interview! As always timing is everything and they simply happened to be at the right place at the right time.
The background check (PRIA) has to be completed before sim training commences, not ground school.
This will probably apply to several new hires in the first January class. Some of them will be starting Indoc while their PRIA check is still in progress.
Also, from what I've been told they've revised the number of new hires they'll need from 301 to "more than" 350. Who knows what it really means?
Either way, it sure feels like '04-'07 hiring spree again..

My class was called out of the pool by phone for a specific class date which was just under 4 weeks away. The drug test had time limits but they arrange it to be done locally or where you prefer. I never got an official offer after that just an email with details about the first few days when my drug test cleared (I assume). Most, if not everyone, drove a car to training and if you get the Candlewood you'll want a car, but you could get by without by bumming rides and using uber here and there. You get the hotel until at least IOE, maybe longer.
Indoc is a solid week and fairly busy. The company takes everyone out for drinks and dinner one night (not formal with spouses like delta, more casual and relaxed) and the union hosts a catered dinner with a welcome presentation. There is also a package car ride along day or a half day of volunteering somewhere. After Indoc you split into fleets and start with systems then go into FMS/Matrix training for a couple of weeks and finish with sim training. You'll get 5? contractual days off for moving which you can take at some point after SIM. OE domestic is a quick 25 hrs.

All good info, the timeline doesn't sound much different than what was going on during the last big hiring wave in 2007. I will add that in our class or 30ish, some went right into aircraft systems right after indoc, while others had 2-3 weeks off after indoc prior to systems. Unlikely to happen to the Jan classes, but as the training pipeline fills and backs-up, it might happen later in the year ... just FYI.
