He's already saying he's staying til 67 whenever they change the rules. Guys like him won't ever leave. The good ones retire early. Go figure!

Maybe we should all take a deep breath and focus on the fact this is an IPA guy we're talking about here? I too have wondered about certain issues BUT he IS one of us. Period.

Now, let's talk about managers flying an md11 into northern Canada or managers being hired into the left and right?? seat or just management hiring in general.

YMMV

IPA 109%

Depends...Maybe he doesn't care as much about you as you do about him. He thinks anyone without Air Force background is a joke both as pilot and as a human being.

On a trip he told me he is beyond ****ed that with his background from "the academy" with 2 degrees and he only makes as much as "some guy from embry riddle". That's verbatim.

Trust me, he doesn't think very highly of those he works with, but the irony is he is the one that F up at every turn.

His latest ammo is during pre-flight he'll tell guys they are doing the HF check wrong and come up with his procedure which is something complete off that guys have never heard of nor makes any sense. He does this to establish the upper hand right on the first leg to offset the chances of guys writing him up for hand-flying when he shouldn't be and or just general F ups.
