Default Does light pollution affect you at FL370?

If you're flying at fl370 over NYC and it's a clear night with no moon, will you be able to see the Milky Way?

It depends on whether there are a lot of particles or water droplets to reflect the ground lights. A cold, dry, and clear night should provide good visibility upward from cruise altitudes, even over a city.

Yes, or dust, ice crystals, volcanic ash, etc.
The Hubble space telescope works so well because none of these things get in its way.
