Pics from KGTU Georgetown Municipal
This is my first photo album here. I went over to KGTU (Georgetown) to take some pictures. Very dull day here in Texas today. Enjoy.

How does that new control tower at GTU appear to be coming along? It'll be nice when they get that thing up and running. A few weeks back I had landed on RWY 18 and a NORDO DA40 landed just 1000 feet behind me while I was still on the runway and about a 1000 feet from the nearest taxiway. The guy tailgated me off the runway. I taxied to self serve pumps and he taxied to the south end of the airport. Unfortunately he taxied so fast I couldn't get his tail number. I was pretty steamed.

I talked to several flight schools over there, and they told me it should be operational in about 6 months. It won't be operational full time. How can somebody land behind you when you are still on the active?

That's a very good question. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the pilot or airplane after we landed to find out why the heck he was so eager to get on the runway. They didn't appear to be in any sort of emergency. As they taxied past us, my mechanic noticed that the pilot gave us some unidentifiable hand gesture. I wanted to find the pilot of the other airplane and discuss right of way regulations and give him a good chewing out. Had I been able to get his tail number I probably would have reported him. In that type of situation, a go around would have been the best thing for the other pilot to do on final.
