Wow, way too cool. Where were you going? How high were you? How fast were you flying? How cold was it on the ground? Was this in winter? Is it the same plane as your avatar? Were you carrying anything in the plane?
I am so morbidly curious partly because I live near McChord AFB and similar behemoths would fly around all day long. When I happen to be out in the park with my dog, I look up and wonder what it would be like. I wave, but I don't think anybody saw me.

Oh and by the way, at that height we can see you wave!

Well, DBrit, I was out in the park with my rather large dog this morning for his daily deposit when the McChord boys took a big baby out for a spin. I waved furiously and even got my dog to jump around a bit. Alas, I don't think the pilot saw me for I received no acknowledgment of any kind. I suppose I wanted him to move his wings or flash his headlights or something. Maybe next time.

DB, how is England today? Just a personal aside, my husband's family once traced its roots back to old William Shakespeare, if you can believe that. Aunt Mildred was an avid genealogist.
I saw the McChord bird at about 8:45 am so it could not have been lunch time.

I'm flattered, thanks a lot!
Vagabond - I haven't been back to Dear Ol' Blighty since last October, but speaking to family over there, I'm told the weather (surprisingly enough) is better than where I'm at up here in Western NY! My mother is also an avid genealogist, and apparently I come from a long line of gypsies (but also have an Uncle who was post-humously awarded the Victoria Cross during WW2).
