I wish I had a new Skyhawk to teach in... lost access a year ago now. It's about summer, and it would be nice to teach in it again.

It really isn't that different than analog especially for younger students. If you are transitioning, it can be tough for some, but if your first experience of flying is on glass, it will seem normal to you. It also requires a different type of instruction. The only real pane is trying to simulate instrument failures. A piece of paper doesn't work anymore.

Ya, I know... I saw 83kts which is nowhere near flying speed for my (now ex)aircraft; 120-140 was the minimum.

No worries, this is an old thread that was bumped back to life by me, probably shouldn't have been. Who hasn't had a massive change of situation since this thread originally ran.

LOL, i was thinking the same thing.....what is that about .13 mach....with a MmO of about .19
