Exclamation Impressive cloud formation, arriva, into EWR

On our way back from CYUL, on the SHAFF arrival.. I just picked up a new Nikon D40, so I brought it along to get familiar with it

PS This was taken above 10,000ft, on a repo part 91 flight

Was that a thunderstorm? The base looks a lot like a shelf cloud.

I put up a better exposed one on the original post

I love the D40, it is so easy to use and was only $465.00 Shipped. After doing some research I learned that the lens is what makes a great picture, not the body, so I picked up the D40 and three seperate lenses, a Telephoto one, a 18-75mm f/2.8 that does an amazing job as a "walk around camera" and I also got a 10-22mm "wide angle", addicting

Yeah it's a great camera - I've been doing most of my shooting with one recently. The Telephoto lens are great for when I'm living up to my name, and the wide angle is really cool. Very reasonably priced for the quality shots it can take.
