Nice shot of Orvilles Johnson Rocket, that is a very neat airplane, I heard its one of only 4 flying in the US. Dont know how accurate that is, but I know it is very rare indeed....keep em coming. Im getting ready to purchase my first digital SLR (Im looking at the nikon D3000), I may have to get you to teach me a thing or two...great shots Glen

Thanks.. I'd be more then happy to spend a day at the side of the runway taking pictures.. just let me know when.

O.F. met me at the creek last spring and showed me one heck of an afternoon. We borrowed someones golf cart and spent the next 4 hours in and out of one hangar after another. Met a bunch of wonderful folks that day. I was amazed at how much BEER was available for the taking!!!!

"Pop" Johnson left the Globe Swift company and came up with this, the Rocket. You can see a fair amount of the earlier Swift design in the Rocket. And the Culver Cadet and, of course, the Curtiss P-40.
