Thirty years ago next week, did my type ride in a DC-3. Can't find any pictures of 104CA but it looks like it it went south into the El Salvadorian Air Force and was shot down by a SAM in 1990. Missile probably cost more than the airplane.

According to the Boeing page, the 377 had a 4,600 mile range! Pretty impressive. And one heckuva looooong flight.

I think the British Aerospace J-4100 was only around 100 airframes also...anyone shed light on that?
