I saw the show on History Channel as well. If I remember, that a few guys from McDonnell Douglas came out to look at to try to figure out how an aircraft could fly with out one of the wings. Don't remember if they discused what they found out. I'm going to ask my Aerodynamics teacher, although the professor isn't exactly the brightest bulb in the set.
