I heard there are a few guys that recently got hired at Delta. Others are leaving for united, UPS, and FedEx. The new contract isn't enough money for everyone.

We are always losing guys to (primarily) Delta, UPS, FedEx, and United, though it seems the standard monthly trickle like many LCCs experience.

There doesn't seem to be any mass exodus, but guys who want something different and put in the effort seem to be achieving as such.

Those remaining continue to benefit from growth and attrition and hopefully it continues. The word is just as much if not more hiring for 2017, which leaves many of us wondering what is in the works.

I think they do. Usually guys leaving for the legacies or freighters will pay it as not to screw up their employement with the next company...
When your gonna make millions more, why not just pay it and be done.
I keep hearing the training contract will be done soon but don't have a hard date....
Good news is sun country is now on year two of the new CBA. Pay rates went up 3% more. They are not reflected yet on the pay scales chart on the APC page though. January 1st the company kicks in another 2% to the 401k direct fund.

What's the most up to date info on lines? Average trip pairing, overnights (if any) and non biased QOL? Looking to get into a LCC but don't want to go to Spirit, Allegiant, Frontier. Have a place to stay close to MSP, so that solves a lot of the problem.

The lines unless you can hold turns are all over. You won't be holding weekends off for a while. You could bid reserve and get weekends off after a few months. Upgrades will probably getting down to 2.5 years... we just had another captain bid back to FO because the bottom lines suck so bad and the captain list moves like a snail!
My opinion would be to go to allegiant then spirit and frontier last. But that's just me.
If you live in base qol is 100% better than a commuter. As a junior line holder you will be doing 4-5 trips. Reserve is almost probably better than a bottom line holder... the down side is on reserve you only have 10-11 days off and after year one it only pays 70 hours with no ability to pick up any extra flying.

That's a great question and it's always evolving it seems. It's a great job as Beech mentioned if you are local. Multiple 4-5 day trips per month with some 2 days mixed in. 15 days off and 75 hours credit. Out of 150 FOs those are evenly dispersed. Outside of Jan-Apr, unless you are top 35 you won't really see single day turns. Winter usually has 55 turn lines. Upgrades down into 50 range currently.

Lots of turns intermixed for December within more junior lines -- a good thing! Lots of red eyes. Point here I guess is that schedules vary every month so never a real firm answer other than winter has more turns.
