The latest bid came out and they are hiring 10 more in November and upgrading 4. This seems to be about the norm. 8-10 a month. Usually they slow down December-march due to it being the busy season and they need all pilots available to fly the schedule.

Why in crap's name would they care about different types of hypoxia?

99% of interview questions are so stupid- why would they ask, "do you have any incidents/accidents/failures."
Isn't that going to be on your application?? Are they thinking you'll blatantly lie or "mis-remember" all of a sudden?

If a new hire commuter would start with Sun. How easy would it be to get a crash pad or something close to the training center?

with all the regionals, Delta and Sun Country being there it won't be a problem. There are a few Sun Country guys that own crash pads, and with commuters being probably the highest attrition there is usually openings.
