You really need to work on comprehension if you found 'advocacy' in my observation. It was simply commenting on how most pilots reading OP would take the meaning.

Go someplace else bro. You have given enough heart to this place, and they havent called. I am sure UAL, AA, UPS and FEDEX will take you in a heartbeat. Just in case you still want to come to NWA/EASTERN, I will buy you bourbon and beer well past your probationary period.

Cheers,

Revisionist history is always amazing. The company never stated they would reengine the 50 seaters and no one offers a program to do so.

The company implied we'd retool the 50 seaters and pass on 717s if we didn't accept C12. Apparently you are the only one on the planet who still believes it.

Speaking of history, how was your prediction of not getting the 737 and 190 orders if we sent back NA15? For that matter, when was the last time you were right about anything?

Sailing,
Unless you had different information this is exactly what the company threatened to do during C2012. If they didn't say it then it was put forth by our union which is even worse, but it was either stated or implied during those negotiations, I just don't have the GAS to go looking it up.

Well let's see, I was right on nearly everything about contract 2012 including job loss, fleet growth and pilot hiring! Well actually I was wrong and I admit it. I predicted a small amount of job loss and there was none. Fleet growth and hiring were more then I predicted. I also only stated management would cancel the order which they did. Later they purchased the E190's only to sell them and reinstated half the 737 orders. I always thought the Cseries was what they wanted to replace regional flying.
My biggest prediction however was that I would come back and see you guys in March and we would not have a TA! How is that going? I was told that was impossible, company was desperate for a TA. The entire operation was going to collapse! What were your statements on that?
What is your real goal? The best possible QOL and pay for the pilots?
We have a window now to perhaps get a TA or we can drag this out forever only to sign the same basic agreement years from now with a big loss for the pilot group.
By the way, how did this work out? How much damage did you do by stating a job action would happen and then nothing? How much has that encouraged management to drag things out?

The engines were and are coming up for overhaul on time. All the company ever stated was that overhaul capacity on those engines was limited and they needed to block slots if they went that route. They is a giant difference between overhauling a engine and reengining a airframe. We overhual engines constantly in all fleets at Delta.
