Adios Netjets?

I have no dog in this fight, I can only state an observation I've made from my time in aviation. It seems that the older a pilot (or people in general) gets, the more that stability matters. And I think working the 121 side of the house generally offers that more than 91 or 135.
All of my friends that I either came up flying around the strip with or that I worked with as a flight instructor etc that ended up going the small business jet route, now all want to work for a major or legacy airline. And none of them are getting calls despite impressive resumes. Most have experienced some amount of turmoil in their careers as flight departments either downsize or shut down completely. While the same can be said for the past 10 years of the airline industry, and indeed there will likely be more turmoil ahead, I think 121 provides the best long-term stability and pay.

The very weak TA has assured that many will be leaving NJ...especially the FOs. The problem with some of the FOs is we have been wasting away in the right seat of a corporate aircraft for 10 yrs while our peers have been sitting left seat somewhere.
As far as pay...Captains will take longer to catch up, however it will only take 3-4 yrs for a FO. A 7/7, 9yr FO is currently making 80k with no chance for upgrade. With the new TA, we'll go to 93K...

As Jetlife said there were a handful to United last month and I know personally of some going to Spirit, JetBlue, Alaska, Southwest and Delta recently.

So your OP was from August. Your recent post seems to imply no decision had been made yet? With regards to hiring, I'm just a clueless DL line pilot. Just wondering how long these CDOs run for ...
I did tours/charters/corporate and regional. No fractional except I have reasonable insight through buddies who have. With 23-24 years left, I'd urge you to make the jump. It's low risk. If you're a decent human being and can fly (you've proved that at NJ), probation will be a breeze. Before too long you can be making more than $200k a year working the same number of days you do at NJ. Choose the wide body F/O path for money similar to NB captain, and you can knock it out in 12 days. MSP will certainly be an option early in the game. All you have to do is be professional and show up. Good people. Surely you've been around the DL forums. Any group will have something to put a negative spin on, including us. Look through all that. There's heightened tension since we got a slap in the face contract contract proposal, but that will be resolved. In the big scheme of things it's all good. Come on over.
