Congratulations. Isn't this very rare? It seems like legacies are somewhat reticent to hire either netjets or 135 folks. Either way, this is a very different work environment you are moving into. Im sure not commuting/positioning will be a positive change.

Thank you.
I know of three other NetJets pilots (all PICs) who have gone to Delta in the past year. I can't really speak to the overall statistics, but on my interview day I was the only 91k/135 type there (I do have 121 in my background, including 121 PIC). I feel very fortunate to have received the offer.

Just to add to the data points.
I'm a 14-year NetJets Captain, and I'm heading to Delta in a couple of weeks. This was not a no-brainer decision. Financially, as near as I can WAG, I'll come out slightly ahead at Delta (I'm 42). A lot of voodoo magic and what-ifs involved in that equation, as anything beyond five years in aviation is an eternity.
Ultimately it came down to potential QOL for me and my family. I live in a Delta base, and that played a large factor in my decision. I'm very much tired of the 7-day trips at NJA and, at my seniority bracket, there is no end in sight for me. Add to that the current tempo of operations at NJA (I'm in the XL) and the utter lack of control over your day-to-day schedule (minus the use of fatigue), I just can't see myself spending 20+ more years at NetJets. Even if I were to get to the top 10% of the seniority list, I'd still be getting the proverbial 0400/1000 show/gos at TEB, etc., etc. as Scheduling seeks their "coverage."
I will miss the actual flying and the people, but, beyond that, I can't think of anything else. Maybe my D6as.

No reluctancy at all According to United, FedEx, SWA and AA. I didn't speak to DAL recruiters at WAI but no Legacy, national or LCC expressed concerns with hiring 135 pilots. It is a numbers game, there are lots of 121 regional pilot... We have had lots of folks leave NetJets for all the airlines right now.

Well ok, lots is a relative term. But my seniority number moves almost daily in some capacity, it ain't from massive retirements lol. Had quite a few posts on the union board about people going to all the top players and SWA.

I asked United specifically if I should jump ship to an LCC and she said absolutely not. NetJets has been getting noticed by the majors and people are leaving. It is a good thing for sure.

Go!
I'll move up a number.
I'm a retired airline guy been sitting FO for 10 years at NJA....If I had a chance to go back to the majors, I wouldn't hesitate even a microsecond. If you care about QOL, there is no comparison....none.
And layovers! Most NJA guys have no idea what a real layover is because they spend hours on tentative, or hot spare. Life on the road is more than eating a miserable crewmeal out of a plastic box locked in your hotel room because you're too tired to forage!
The only edge a job at NJA has is the actual flying. On some days it is more fun.
