Default Airplane Repo Men is Terrible for Aviation

Just tried to watch an episode of this terrible show. What is with their obsession with airport security and getting arrested or confronted for being at an airport. It seems that they are undoing all the efforts aopa and others have done trying to attract new people to airports. They constantly point out how only rich sobs and millionaires are allowed at an airport. I'm more than a little confused with what appeal this show has.

At least they are blurring the tail numbers this season. They caught a decent amount of grief last season when people figured out that the repos were all rentals / charters.

I'm trying to figure out why KHII is considered a high security Executive Airport.

I could barely watch it. Yesterday's clip where they "stole" the L-39 by using a T-6 to dupe the mechanics.... Happened at two different airports. The T-6 was at Reno/Stead and wherever they were stealing the L-39 from was no where near there (green wooded, flat terrain). The show is about the dumbest thing on television. I would rather watch two hours of Rachel Maddow.

Claiming that Repo is a reality show about aviation is much like claiming that Miami Vice is a reality show about law enforcement. Repo is 100% staged and scripted and uses really bad actors.

As noted, the ENTIRE SHOW is staged, fake, not real.

And yes, it does give aviation in its entirety a bad name and the "pilots" showcased should have their certificates revoked for lack of "good moral character".
