It's interesting. I know a Lufthansa flight attendant who started at 23 and is now 40 and makes enough to live in Munich as a single parent, she has a son, and she loves her job. Quite a contrast to the US airlines.

Charter fas make better money than the majors. $40 to $50k a year is easily attainable within very little time.

Corporate ones start at 60k in the NE and that's the lowest--100k is not uncommon.

Do you have to be really really, ridiculously, good-looking?

No, the ones I know are attractive, but also on the far side of their 40s. Despite rumors competence is more valued than mere looks, unless, of course, the owner is a Russian oligarch. Pilots in those jobs are rapidly going over the 200k mark, even 225k.

That number is assuming a 10% 401K contribution which then gets a company match of 9.3% plus around 5K per diem. We have many pay topped out flight attendants that work a full schedule (maybe 18 days a month) that top 100K per year.

Nope.....but you do have to be able to "get it done." There is so much more than just working on the plane. You're in charge of catering and finding exactly what the client wants, no matter what it takes to get it. You also have to be able to be flexible and pro-active enough to adapt to each individual's demands and sometimes strange requests. You're paid handsomely for it, but it's not for me.
I want to get on the plane, do a great job safety and service wise, and get off. No need to worry about anything until I get back on for the next flight!

A former co-worker and friend of mine works corporate and her stories are legend. Celebrities sure are a strange bunch.
