Who's been hired? [New Employer Can ID You!]

the pilot shortage has definitely come at the regional level. Theres just not that many 20-something year olds with 750-1500 TT anymore that are looking to make $20k a year to build time. The pool is basically going to dry up there. The Majors still have 10,000+ resumes on their desks though.

10,000 aps....with each carrier. Maybe 10-12K pilots total. Subtract the less qualified, potentially undesirable, 2000+ hires this year and for the years ahead, and we'll know about the alleged, or real, shortage shortly.

True but majors will just pull from the military and regionals, so you'll never see a shortage at the major level.

They just did an interesting roundtable on CNBC about this. Everybody should just sit back and enjoy the show on this. The regionals are going to implode if... this is a real shortage. Management is going to reach a point where they become desperate for a solution and hopefully we will be able to take advantage.
