Thanks for the kind offer AKpilot, most AS pilots are great (many, but not all)..and I know our new hires will appreciate your friendly criticism and calling out their fellow DL crew members for giving out stink-eyes while they're stuck sitting on your jumpseat.

For DL new hires; just watch out for the AS-clowns who like to try to make fun of DL pilots to their face for having to wear their hats..I'm usually too up-tight to notice, but they're hilarious! Especially now, since AS pilots are gonna have to start wearing theirs.

On the other hand, maybe you should just plan to commute on DL..we'll make sure you get to work, and you won't have to worry about getting bumped by an "AS".

In all seriousness I do actually try to say hi to anyone passing by that I notice. Sometimes I'm looking elsewhere.



So I am not necessarily ignoring anyone, I may just be contemplating if I think the guy who invented yoga pants can replace the guy who invented bikini's as the greatest guy ever.

But also... we see hundreds of airline pilots every day at work. It'd be like going to a home football game and shouting your schools battle cry to everyone dressed in your school colors. It'd never end. And there is also a slight possibility, small, miniscule, unlikely, that some Delta guys are just jerkish but you also don't know where they're coming from either. I mean I once briefed a Captain on a mechanical issue on an airplane and why we were late an he wouldn't look at me or acknowledge anything I said, complete ass. I got so irritated with him that I walked away and didn't finish. Flew with him a few weeks later. Completely nice. WTH? I do not know.

Take each person one person at a time. Except on the internet. I just put all of you together into simple stereotypes.

If one is to believe the LCA meeting stories, RA wants more 717s and would want any on the used market even at a much higher price than the nearly free ones from SWA.

That said, if you are also to believe the LCA meeting stories, RA acknowledged that Qantas and Hawaiian also want those planes in a bad was as well.

Yes, when Hooters started flying the had Hooters girls in Bikinis at the Myrtle beach airport. Sad that airline did not make it!
