Delta is giving 50 seat flying to endeavor, Alaska lol. We're gonna need to reinvent ourselves first if we want new flying.
One thing that may help Air Wisconsin is that PSA can not hire right now. We have 900's coming in every month, and will likely have to start parking 200's in the next couple months (if not sooner).

Ready, go....
I had a PSA guy ask me about the rumor that has supposedly been going around over there that they are looking at buying us, easy way to staff. I call BS on that one, especially since even his F/O had this odd look on his face!

Only other thing is speculation as to why reference to the old flight guidance computers have been put back in the FCM...

Unfortunately, I don't find what the PSA guy said all that unbelievable. From what I hear, PSA wants to double in size and there is no way they are recruiting that many guys/gals in today's environment. We would be a perfect solution to get that underway... 700+ pilots with the type rating already, already exclusively flying in the AA system, both ALPA carriers... Every day that goes by without a flying announcement leads me believe more and more that AWAC selling the pilots is more likely. I don't know if I would say there is a good chance this will happen, but it wouldn't shock me. I have been joking about it in the cockpit for months...

As for the computers, from the rumor that I heard, it was in preps (possibly) to pick up cheap replacements for the 4 we are pulling from the line to use as standbys/for parts.

The hombre is not for sale. I'd go elsewhere first.

I agree, there are a number of aspects that make this an "easy" way for PSA to solve their staffing issues. I'd like to see how a list integration would work, though, especially with flow to mainline, since I'd take a wild guess and say we have more senior guys than they do based on DOH. In this industry, anything is possible and nothing is assured until it actually happens. I think this is a long shot, though.

As for the four planes slated to be parked, I think the latest scuttlebut is that they are getting the wing box inspection done and won't be sidelined. From what I've heard (crewroom chatter), downtime isn't that long and it's not terribly invasive, just on the expensive side to do. I believe Emery in RFD can do it. AAG might be throwing some cash in for it, cheap insurance to protect their feed in the short term.

If they do get replaced with birds out of the desert, I hope they have the newer seats...

Call me a pessimist, but I find it hard to believe that a company that was prepared to shut down one of their own subsidiaries in the midst of a pilot shortage would be looking to acquire an entire company just for its labor.

I think it's more likely they'd be betting on most of us having to start over at one of their regionals at year one pay, which unfortunately would be true. The system is rigged.

Exactly. Why merge a senior pilot group with a soon to be junior one? Remember Parker isn't using the flow to help the pilots. He wins on both fronts. First his labor cost a PDT/PSA/ENY drops a ton. Replacing a bunch of senior 100k Captains with 50K Captains is a win. Shaving the top of 3 regionals he's now got a bunch of former WO'ed Pilots in there early 40's to late 50's. at mainline at year one pay. And now Guess what? They won't be at the 12 year top scale at mainline long before they have to retire. Another win.
He'd rather hire all the AWAC folks as Street Captains. 1st year Captain pay and the fact they won't be able to flow for over 5-8 years. Win Win for Parker.
Should be an interesting year for a few regionals. Thank goodness all the majors will be hiring like crazy and they'll need all the pilots they can get.
