If you live in CLT then definitely PSA might be good choice for you. The preferential hiring was an agreement set by alpa to alpa. Since mainline isn't alpa anymore, there is no more preferential as of right now. But they are working on that, and they are taking 16 from PSA and 12 from PDT that they hired 3 years ago. Most of us here are trying to be optimistic that mainline will take a lot from us so there will be movement. I see upgrading here faster than xjt.
