PSA if you live in base would be my choice. However you are asking basically, "Which crappy regional is better?" At the end of the day it will be what you make of it. I know both groups have good pilots and crews to fly with. Both have their own issues and both have pros.

To clear a few things up the preferential hire program is NOT currently in place. However it would be in place tomorrow if USairways MGT and PSA and or PDT wanted it to be.... It had nothing to do with ALPA and was set up between the MGT of USairways and PSA/PDT. Also there are only 15 pilots from PSA going to Mainline, not the orginal 16 as one is going to decline the offer.

With that we are losing some FO's as well. I know I was sitting at 470 for the longest time here at PSA and right now we have a newer (less then 3 month FO) sitting at 470 on the seniority list. We also have some, as I'm sure Xjet does, Captains whom are done with Phase 2 of Jetblue and waiting for a class date.

At the TIME being I will say Xjets contract is stronger. However that could change tomorrow if PSA would complete our contract. But it seems like MGT right now is stalling due to the rest/duty laws about to go into place August 1st.

Lastly it is your choice. Pay will be about the same at either place. Both groups have good pilots and great crews..... Xjet has a better CURRENT contract but PSA is well into their current negotiations and hopefully will have that wrapped up by years end....

There seems to be a SMALL rumor, which I dont care for much, but that PSA/Airways got a sweet deal to extend 200 leases to 2019.... However I have not been in a recurrent to ask about this.... Also it does not seem to make sense to me either but its been floating around now.... If so that would be a good thing for PSA as well....
