Default Trying to get back to the flight deck

Greetings,

I am a 10,000 hour ex-regional airline captain. I had to leave the industry for personal reasons (divorce/childcare issues, NOT a training issue!!). Looking back, I should have never left, but you know what they say about hindsight. I was current up until last September as a sim instructor at a "large training company". Otherwise, I haven't flown in several years. I want to get back to flying, but I also can't afford to start over at regional airline wages. Am I a fool for thinking I am marketable to a major/national carrier since I am not "current"? Thanks for any replies.
